Best Mac & Cheese Restaurants in Key West

We all know when it comes to vacations, indulging in good food is half the fun! Lucky for you, Key West is bursting with highly rated restaurants.

It’s a classic dish. Al dente pasta and creamy cheese sauce, baked to perfection. This old favorite is popping up on menus of some of the best restaurants in Key West. It ain’t the box of Kraft you grew up with (though we do love that, too), it’s a gourmet blend of flavors and textures to make you go “mmm”. The ultimate comfort food.

It wasn’t easy, but someone had to do it. We’ve tried ‘em all and are naming the best restaurants in Key West to get a delicious serving of that gooey goodness.

This popular Duval Street restaurant’s famous dish is their decadent Lobster Mac and Cheese. Reservations are recommended, especially if you prefer dining street-side on their covered front porch. This dish is on their small plates menu at lunch. Try it with their heart of palm and avocado salad and a cool glass of white wine.

On Petronia Street in Bahama Village, the masterminds behind Firefly restaurant are all about Southern Cooking. On their mouthwatering menu you’ll find Pimento Cheese Dip, Fried Green Tomatoes, Buttermilk Biscuits, and not to mention, Skillet Mac and Cheese with Biscuit Crumbles. For brunch or supper, enjoy their hearty options with a cold sweet tea on the beautiful open-air patio.

Just around the corner from Old Town Manor on Simonton Street, this James Beard award winning Key West restaurant serves a variety of sandwiches, salads, grilled meats and fish. Don’t miss the Green Chile Pepper Macaroni and Three Cheese appetizer, a flavorful combination of aged cheddar, mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Yum!

Charlie Mac’s

Winner of the best BBQ restaurant in Key West, Charlie Mac’s also serves up a mean Mac and Cheese. Order it as a side to one of their hearty barbeque plates, or get it in the Mac Daddy Bowl – a platter of brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, french fries, onion rings, and yes, Mac and Cheese. Saddle up to the bar or grab a table – this lively spot offers plenty of beer on tap and always has the game on.
