Old Town Key West is always bursting with unique events you can’t find anywhere else.  Our island knows how to party, and there’s no better way to start or end one of our amazing festivals than a good ol’ fashioned parade, Key West style.  From the Gulf to the Atlantic, body-painting to holiday celebrations, the fall season is action packed with the year’s best Key West parades!

October – Masquerade March

The world famous 10 day Fantasy Fest kicks off the first of our favorite Key West parades.  Friday October 30, the Masquerade March, also known as the “Locals Parade,” starts at 5pm at the Key West Cemetery’s Frances Street entrance.  Everyone is welcome to join!  Get your camera ready, we promise you’ll spot some of the most creative individual and group costumes.  Stop anytime along the route to drink jello shots supplied from local guesthouses, dance, socialize, and mingle your way through Old Town.Key West Parades - Masquerade March

October – Fantasy Fest Parade

On the following day, over 65,000 onlookers gather to cheer on particpants in the Fantasy Fest Parade.  This scantily clad, highly anticipated event winds through Old Town Key West within steps of Old Town Manor, Rose Lane Villas and the William Skelton House.  Over 50 unique parade entries will be featured in this year’s “All Hallows Intergalactic Freak Show” theme.  Scheduled to begin at 7pm on Halloween, you’ll want to get downtown early for this unforgettable night!  Don’t forget to ask our concierge about private balcony viewing parties.Key West Parades - Fantasy Fest Parade

November – World Championship Boat Race Parade

Known internationally as the Indianapolis 500 of powerboat racing, these boats have it all – from top of the line engines to world class paint jobs.  The parade starts Sunday, November 8th at 4pm on Duval Street.  Admire the high-speed offshore powerboats as they prepare for the annual World Championship boat races taking place through November 15th, off the Key West harbor.Key West Parades - Power Boat Races

December – Holiday Festival Parade

You might think it’s hard to get in the holiday spirit without snow, but not in Key West!  The annual Holiday Festival Parade takes place on December 5th at 7pm on Duval Street.  Local organizations create elaborate floats to showcase their holiday spirit and make you forget all about a white Christmas.  This family friendly event concludes with who else but Santa.  Enjoy the parade in our front porch rocking chairs – it ends right in front of Old Town Manor!Key West Parades - Holiday Festival Parade

December – Key West Lighted Boat Parade

No Florida Keys holiday celebration is complete without a lighted boat parade!  Walk to the Key West harbor on December 12th for lights, music and holiday cheer.  Boats in all sizes will be “decked out” as they compete in the annual Schooner Wharf Lighted Boat Parade for more than $20,000 in prizes!  Family and friends of all ages will enjoy the music, handmade ornaments and holiday beverages on land, with proceeds benefiting the Boys and Girls Club.Key West Parades - Lighted Boat Parade
